Hacking Paper Cut Software (Paper Cut Hacked)


It is my habit to interfere where submits fields are available in every type of online websites by editing and changing variables and submitting exceptional values. A week ago I tried to do something with PaperCut software online portal available in every new version of this software.

It is also installed in my university where we can only use 20$ each day for printing of 20 pages per day. 
There are three types of users have authority to print in our university students, teachers and obviously the administrators. But teachers also have the balance of 20$ each day, I got one of my teachers account, in transfer balance module I was entering some invalid ASCII characters and I was getting errors like “enter a valid amount” then I tried to enter some other things that worked

 I entered $ 455.0.0.012 to Transfer as the result it was added to my teacher’s own account and also transferred to my account given in send to, I repeated the same process to get $ 98300002342323 Hurrah!  Now I can even print a book daily from my university

Steps to follow:

1)Open online portal of PaperCut in my university it is  hpres and port no 9191. Please write "yourShareName:9191" in address bar
2) Enter amount in Transfer of account i.e 455.0.0.012
3) Enjoyyy

    You click on "more info" or "help" (from the papercut client that shows your printing credit)
    it will bring up your browser with the portal.
